Our party bands in Newcastle aim to play a broad range of mainstream covers that everyone knows and loves – from rock and pop to Motown, funk and ska.
Our Newcastle bands for hire will provide everything needed to put on an incredible show, whether this is at home or a venue. From mics to instruments and amplifiers, and stage lighting, they will have it covered.
The band will play for 2 hours in total (this can be split into 2 x 60 minute or 3 x 40 minute sets). A typical schedule would see the band arriving at 6pm to set up and sound-check (this can take up to 60 minutes), and starting their sets at around 9pm. They’ll put on recorded music between their sets, to ensure you’re never in silence.
Most of the time, yes. Our Newcastle wedding party bands will be more than happy to learn and perform first dance songs that are not already part of their repertoire, though it does depend on the song.
If for some reason the line-up is unable to perform your first dance, they will play the track through their PA system instead.
Our bands have been known to bring the party spirit to some of Newcastle and the surrounding area’s best-loved venues including Northside Farm, The Biscuit Factory, As You Like It, The Vermont Hotel, Beamish Hall, The Parlour at Blagdon, Lumley Castle and The Grand Hotel.
Our live bands are available to book across Newcastle and the North East. Other towns regularly frequented include: Sunderland, Gateshead, South Shields, Tynemouth, Washington, Wallsend and Jarrow.
If you have an evening reception band in mind, check if they can also offer ceremony or drinks reception services. By booking just one band, you’ll only need to cover one set of expenses.
Not necessarily. Check the threshold setting for the limiter. Most of our Newcastle party bands can perform satisfactorily with sound limiters set at 95dB or above. But let us know if it’s below this, so we can check with the band.
We offer advice and support 24 hours a day, seven days a week right up until your big day. We also ensure that every act we work with meets our strict standards for professionalism, reliability, punctuality, courtesy and, of course, talent!
