Our rock bands typically cover the full spectrum of the genre through the ages:
They'll also play unique, guitar-focussed arrangements of contemporary pop anthems by artists such as Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran and Adele. This ensures that no-one misses out, even if they're not into rock music.
Our indie bands might incorporate more alternative genres such as indie folk music, as well as quirkier song choices.
Most bands featured here are smaller, guitar-based line-ups consisting of between three and five members, with a male lead vocalist.
If rock music isn't your thing, check out our soul, pop and R&B bands. These typically feature keyboards, brass section and both male and female vocalists.
All our function bands, rock bands and indie bands are fully self-contained with their own PA sound system, microphones, backline amplifiers and instruments.
This works really well for most marquee or indoor weddings. But let us know if you're expecting more than 250 guests, so we can check whether the band’s system is large enough.
Most bands will also bring lighting for both the stage and dancefloor.
Quotes for our indie rock bands are designed to cover everything you'll need on the night. Fees are inclusive unless otherwise indicated on your quote and would typically cover:
First, check out the band's song list on their profile, to see if they already know it.
If not, let us know the name of the song and we'll see if your indie or rock wedding band can learn and perform it especially for your day. This will largely depend on the complexity of the song.
If the band don't feel that they'd be able to recreate the song with enough authenticity, they'd be happy to play the recorded version through their PA system instead.
Our indie rock bands will typically perform for 2 hours. You can divide this how you like, but we recommend either 2 x 1-hour or 3 x 40-minute sets with short intervals.
If you'd like them to play for longer, just ask and we'll see if it's possible.
A 3-piece rock covers band will need a performance area measuring approximately 3 metres wide and 3 metres deep. As a rough guide, add on an extra metre of width per additional act member.
A raised stage might enhance the visual appeal of the band, but don't worry if you can't provide one – it won't affect the overall atmosphere, in our experience.
None of our rock bands are likely to reach uncomfortable volumes, but if you've got any concerns about young children or elderly guests, consider hiring a band that doesn't play modern rock music.
A swing, jive, or 50s rock'n'roll band can be great for dancing, without drowning out everything else.
Possibly! Sound limiters or meters are designed to curtail the noise output of bands, often by tripping the venue's circuit if a certain threshold is exceeded.
Firstly, see if the venue are happy to deactivate the limiter for the duration of the performance. If that's not possible, let us know the limiter's threshold in decibels, so we can check whether the band are happy to perform within these limits. As a rough guide, limiters set to 92dB or under can cause issues.
If the band don't think they can perform within the limiters of the sound meter, we'll suggest a better fit, such as an acoustic band or a band substituting live drums for electric drums.
